One day Matthew was a happy child outside playing football and that same night he was taken by a helicopter to a place that would change our lives forever. Matthew was diagnosed with gliomatosis cerebri, a brain tumor that took his life. Matthew fought this horrible disease for 8 months. Nothing stopped him-not the radiation or the chemo, he continued to be everything a little boy could be-he enjoyed his life up to the very end. He truly was what he always wanted to be, a brother. Pediatric cancer is a hidden world that you never know exists until you live it and become a part of it. We want people to become aware of this disease and help us, so in turn we can help the doctors, nurses, and most importantly- the children and families affected by brain tumors.

If we had one lifetime wish,
one dream that could come true.
We'd pray to God so hard,
for yesterday and you.
The things we feel so deeply
are the hardest things to say.
But we your family,
love you in a very special way.
They say memories are golden,
well maybe that is true.
But we never wanted memories, we only wanted you.
If teardrops were a stairway and heartaches made a lane,
We'd walk a path to heaven and bring you back again.
A thousand times we've cried. If our love could have saved you.
