MAY IS BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS MONTH IN NEW JERSEY

Brain tumors are the #1 cancer-related cause of death in children 19 and under. 

Brain tumors are diagnosed as often as Leukemia in kids.

2008

Monmouth University Director of Broadcast Engineering/Instructor Chris Cavallaro for thinking of our local organization as the focus of his senior students to do their final project on. Advanced Radio Production students Christopher Clairmont and Sal Binetti conceptualized, interviewed us, wrote and produced a professional grade Public Service Announcement for the Kortney Rose Foundation. We are shopping it to area radio stations.

Monmouth University Coordinator of Service Learning and Community Programs Marilyn Ward, who helped coordinate all of the wonderful student help we received throughout the year. These clubs were instrumental in the preparation of The Kortney's Coins for a CURE Program, as well as, Kortney's Challenge. The Monmouth University Community Service Club, especially Vice President Erin Gallagher and President Ian Craig for their volunteering and fundraising event. Nicole Jones volunteered her beautiful graphic design work. Lyndsay LaConti and Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, and many other groups volunteered on mailings, Kortney's Coins preparation and at Kortney's Challenge.

Phil and Penny Hinck of Jersey Shore Running Club (JSRC.ORG) who have gone above and beyond for the third year in a row organizing and implementing Kortney's Challenge. We could not do this event without your! Thanks also for staying at the track after Kortney's Challenge to see the honorary Kortney Rose Foundation horse race, pink jockey helmets and trophy presentation.
