AUGUST (7/30 – 8/1)

While the pandemic is stopping us from physically getting together AGAIN this year, it won’t stop the 16th annual Kortney’s Challenge 2 Mile FUN Run/Walk from taking place virtually. We’ll certainly miss seeing everyone’s smiling faces again this year. The Kortney Rose Foundation (KRF) looks forward to welcoming back last year’s virtual participants who joined us from 26 U.S. states and 6 countries from around the world. Our goal is to attract more registrants and raise more money for research this year. Can you help us get one participant from each of the 50 states and more participants from other countries?

  • Brain tumors are the #1 cause of death by disease in children.
  • In the U.S., all childhood cancer research only receives 4% of the annual cancer research budget from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) (96% to adult cancers!)

It’s small foundations like KRF, that are bridging this funding gap to help move research forward. Many hospitals have had to divert funds previously earmarked for research to COVID relief, making your support of Kortney’s Challenge and KRF more important than ever.

No matter where you live, you can participate in memory of Kortney and other children who have died from brain tumors, in honor of those currently fighting, and for those yet to be diagnosed. TOGETHER BUT APART, we take steps to Help Get Brain Tumors Off Kids’ Minds.

JULY 30, 2021 – AUGUST 1, 2021.

We know financial situations may have changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and we want to make this event accessible to everyone. With that in mind, the registration fee this year will be $15 per adults (13 & over) and $10 per child (12 & under). Of course, donations, in any amount, are always appreciated.

Start planning your Group/Team now. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Run, walk, skip, dance, cartwheel, or whatever you do to have fun while moving. We don’t even ask you to report your mileage. The key is to get everyone moving, having fun and supporting an important cause.

Kids with brain tumors around the world and their families thank you!
